There are some key indicators that your home’s current pipe system needs to be replaced. It is important to note that homes that are 40 years or older are more prone to needing repiping, as natural deterioration and wear and tear are big factors. If your home is 40 years or older, and/or you notice any of the following signs of a failing pipe system, call JW Heating & Air as soon as possible to schedule a Top Professional Repiping Installation:
When the water in your home begins to have an unfamiliar, poor taste and smell, typically of metallic flavor, your pipes are likely beginning to deteriorate and it’s time to consider replacing them all together. Besides it being an inconvenience, it’s a sure-fire sign that your water pipes are suffering and need to be replaced.
Banging and creaking noises from your water pipes are also a pretty clear indication that your water pipes are beginning to fail. As your water pipes age, they will begin to fail naturally, and loud noises that did not used to occur are a good way to gauge that it is time to call JW Heating & Air for Professional Repiping Installation Services.
Have you noticed a difficulty trying to find a comfortable temperature when turning on your sink or shower? Oftentimes when pipes are beginning to fail, they will cause the water from your pipes to your faucets to not adjust to your indicated desired temperature correctly. If you’ve noticed the temperature of your water suddenly change, consider repiping services from JW Heating & Air.
If you suspect that your water pipes may be needing replacement, perform a visual inspection on them and look for any rusting and corrosion. If your pipes are visibly rusting and corroding, this is at the minimum, a sign of age, and at most, a sign that your pipes will need to be repiped by the plumbing experts at JW Heating & Air.
Your pipes can begin to leak due to a number of reasons. If the leak is only in one particular area, the issue is likely just with that particular part or area of your pipe. If your pipes are leaking from many different areas, your pipes are beginning to fail and will need to be addressed and replaced by professionals at JW Heating & Air right away.
One of the biggest red flags in terms of the health of your water pipes is if your water is coming out of your faucets discolored. If the water from your sinks and showers is reddish in hue, this is likely to corrosion. Discolored water can also come in tints of black, brown, and yellow as well. No matter the case, water discoloration of any color is usually a direct result of failing water pipes and calls for total repiping from the pros at JW Heating & Air.
Another clear symptom of expired water pipes is inconsistent water pressure. If the water pressure from your faucet or shower begins to decrease over the time in which you are using it, this is usually due to issues with your water pipes.

The 40-year-old heating system at my mother-in-law's house failed a week before Thanksgiving. We had used JW 5 years ago for our house and they did an amazing job. They were our first call for our current issue. Roberto, our service technician, came out and was kind, professional, courteous, and gave us outstanding service. He couldn't solve the problem with the unit on the initial visit and went over and above to find replacement parts and devise a solution- including rearranging his schedule so that he could attend to our needs as soon as possible. Ultimately, the old unit could not be repaired and I spoke with Eric to explore other options. This is a company that takes pride in providing outstanding service and hiring amazing people like Roberto. I'm a big fan of this company and will use them as my first call for any of my heating and air conditioning needs.

Recently I had a plumbing safety inspection done. Kevin came to check things out. My water lines were in good shape. He then proceeded to inspect my gas lines under the house. He found leaks in some of the lines. Kevin showed me videos of a test he performed, which showed the gas escaping. He was patient and very professional as he explained everything he had done and exactly what he found. The visuals he presented helped see exactly what he was talking about. He proceeded to talk to his supervisor, and it was decided to turn off my gas for the night. I appreciated Kevin's concern for my safety.First thing the next morning Kevin, his supervisor and the manager all showed up. They conducted one more test that confirmed the leaks, showed me those results, and gave me options. These options were explained fully to me. They gave me plenty of opportunity to ask questions too, making sure I understood exactly what each option entailed. I didn't want to mess around where gas was concerned, so I chose to replace and redo the entire gas lines.Kevin continued to be a most caring person, and saw the entire project through, start to finish. He explained the inspection procedure to me, and even cleared his schedule to be here when the city came to do their inspection.I was extremely happy with this experience. Kevin went above and beyond, which I appreciated immensely. He was professional, as well as caring, courteous and respectful.

There are pluses and minuses to working with a large company. In our case we did a complete HVAC upgrade. The teams were very fast and efficient. We had few other companies give us bids, one was a little lower and a couple were a little higher. The only downside of this, is that all the teams do their thing and it doesn't appear that they know what the other teams have to do or is done. This was a really big job, and there were a few glitches along the way. The team we worked with was outstanding in the quality of work and the time it took to do the job. Eric, our project coordinator was exceptional. He listened to what we were trying to achieve and showed us many options to get there. Once the work was completed, he came by to set everything up and make sure we were happy with the work done. We went from a system that couldn't keep up with the SoCal heat to a house that goes as cold as we want. I don't think our experience could have gone better, a great company to work with

A whole house repiping installation can take anywhere from a few days up to a week. Smaller homes can be repiped in as little as two days, while larger homes with multiple bathrooms can take much longer. However, it’s important to note that you won’t necessarily be unable to use your plumbing during that entire time.
How long repiping installation will take depends on the number of people working on the project, the size of your home, and the condition of your pipes. Repiping usually takes two days to a week to complete. Your plumber at JW Heating & Air will be able to tell you how long the installation will take, when your water will be shut off, and any other details you need to know regarding your repiping installation.
Repiping is replacing the pipe lines that supply water to your home. Repiping is a large construction project that involves installing all new pipes throughout the various rooms in your house. During a repiping installation, JW Heating & Air may advise that your family stay with relatives or at a hotel while the repiping installation is happening.
A repipe for a slab home costs more than a home with a raised foundation because a raised foundation has access to a crawl space. Access to a crawl space makes installing repiping in your home much easier. Slab foundation homes often require creating more holes in your walls to run the new piping. This process costs more because it requires more labor from your certified plumber at JW Heating & Air.
You should repipe your house because pipes can rust over time and the rust will break off into your home’s water supply (your tap water will appear a reddish or brown color). In this case, you should have JW Heating & Air repipe your house because this water color is an indication of old pipes which can eventually lead to leaks, unhealthy water quality, and more.

Alex Amaro did a great job on my furnace tuneup. Great photos of my unit — which was in tip top condition. New filter ordered. Thank you!
